JC & LC Revision Caps
Intensive 10 day revision camps for 2027 and 2028 Junior and Leaving Cert students, taught by native speakers in small groups.
A complete revision programme
Each day, the participants will gain confidence in their ability to tackle all the sections of the exam. Unlike typical grinds, each session is led by a native speaker and covers all the skill areas needed for thorough exam revision.
Aural and Listening
Native speaker recordings covering dialogues, interviews and announcements. Worth 20% of the LC exam for both French and Spanish.
Reading Comprehension
Authentic texts including articles, notices and everyday materials. Reading comprehension is worth 30% of LC marks at both levels.
Vocabulary and Themes
Thematic content from both syllabi covering family, school, travel, health, technology, media, environment and social issues.
Grammar Structures
Present, past and future tenses, conditionals, negatives and complex sentence patterns. Subjunctive included for LC Higher Level.
Written Expression
JC tasks include informal letters, emails and blog entries. LC written expression covers letters, opinions and short stories, worth 25% of marks.
Oral and Speaking
JC students prepare for oral CBAs completed in class. LC oral exams last 12 to 15 minutes and account for 25% of final marks.
Two languages, two levels
French and Spanish run simultaneously. Junior Cert in the morning and Leaving Cert in the afternoon.
