Hi! ¡Hola! Bonjour !
My name is Aurélie Le Moine and I live in Portlaoise, Ireland with my husband. I grew up on a farm in Brittany, France and came to Ireland for a three-month work placement with Bank of Ireland to improve my English. That was over 20 years ago and I am still here! After working in business for a few years and giving French lessons part-time, I decided to become a fully qualified language teacher, specialising in French, Spanish and English.
Qualifications
Professional Master of Education (Post-primary teaching in Ireland)
International BA in French and Spanish (1st Class Hons from Maynooth University)
Certified examiner for DELF and DALF exams in Alliance Française (renewed in 2023)
DAEFLE (Teaching French as a Foreign Language – Alliance Française)
CELTA 5 (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
I am Garda Vetted and registered with the Teaching Council. I am also a member of the French Teachers Association (AIPLF) and the Association of Teachers of Spanish (ATS Irlanda).
My Experience
I teach French (FLE, FOS), Spanish (ELE) and English (EFL) from casual conversation classes to exam preparation. I give private lessons in person and online to individuals and groups. I also have experience teaching in the business environment and have given in-house classes to groups and individuals. I have taught in the European Commission, Community Colleges and Public Libraries. I participated in the Leaving Cert exams and orals for the State Examinations Commission. I enjoy correcting Spanish mock exam papers every year.
